FIAT AMBASSADORS SARAH LAVIN AND KATE O’CONNOR SHINE AT WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS TOKYO 2025
Fiat Ireland is proud to celebrate two of our incredible brand ambassadors - Sarah Lavin and Kate O’Connor, who delivered standout performances at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo 2025, representing Team Ireland with world-class talent and determination.
Sarah Lavin kicked off her 100m hurdles campaign with a powerful run, placing 3rd in her heat with a time of 12.94 seconds — securing an automatic spot in the semi-final. She returned with even more fire, clocking 12.86 seconds and finishing 4th in her semi-final. Though she narrowly missed out on the final, Sarah ranked 13th overall — an incredible achievement in a fiercely competitive field and a testament to her relentless drive.
Kate O’Connor delivered one of the most memorable performances of the Championships, finishing second in the world in the Heptathlon. Day one saw her set three personal bests in the 100m hurdles, high jump, and 200m—placing her firmly in medal contention. On day two, she soared to new heights with a powerful javelin throw that marked another PB. Heading into the final event, the 800m, Kate sealed the silver medal with her fifth personal best and a new national record of 6,714 points. Her consistency and competitive fire were nothing short of extraordinary.
Fiat are incredibly proud of Sarah and Kate. Their strength, courage, and commitment continue to uplift the nation, and Fiat is privileged to be part of their journey. Their achievements reflect the same spirit of excellence, resilience, and forward-thinking innovation that drives our brand.
